On this hour-long special episode of Passport to Design, JoJo Liebeler traveled to Dublin, Ireland, for the ultimate pub crawl. Pub experts and regulars shared their pints - and their advice on what makes the Irish pub experience so compelling. Armed with that knowledge, the Passport to Design crew returned to the States to build two Irish-style pubs in the Midwest.

One is a small-scale, "do-it-yourself" pub in a suburban home, the other is a commercial tavern undergoing an Irish makeover. After all the construction and design work was wrapped, the Dublin pub regulars judged the projects on their authenticity. For the most part, their Irish eyes were smiling, but they weren't afraid to criticize either. Tune into the Travel Channel in March of 2004 for this lively look at Irish pub lore.
