Room for Change airs on the HGTV network.
Its hard to believe that HGTV was once a fledgling cable network, taking a daring programming risk by airing only home improvement, gardening, and design shows. Now, almost ten years later, its clearly a risk that has paid big dividends.
Room for Change was one of HGTVs premier programs back in 1995. Hosted by JoAnne Liebeler, the show uses time-lapse photography to demonstrate how room designs evolve. Viewers learn about the design principles of scale, color, texture and arrangement.
Many of the Room for Change guest designers have gone on to other programs most notably, Nancy Golden on the D.I.Y. Network, and Nan Sloan, JoAnnes sister, who pops up regularly on HGTVs Decorating Cents, and on Travel Channels Passport to Design.
